CAROL GIBBS - Umpiring Development Officer
Hi, I am the Umpiring Development Officer and have now been involved with the club for many years.
As a club, Tibberton is dedicated in supporting its members in obtaining umpiring qualifications. We are very fortunate to have a structure from International to beginner umpires, with all the support that this brings with it.
Umpiring can be very rewarding and you will have the support of a dedicated team who can help provide the correct level and environment for you to practice, be assessed and tested.
Registered members, who are interested in attaining an umpiring qualification, should in the first instance contact the Club Umpiring Development Officer where they will be added to the database and kept informed of any courses running in Shropshire. Also check out the website.
Financial support will only be given when clearance has been obtained from the Club Manager or the Club Umpiring Development Officer to attend the chosen course and on production of the relevant certificate upon completion of the course. The club will expect commitment from qualified umpires in supporting our teams when necessary.
The club will also expect anyone that has attended an umpiring course (above the Beginner’s course) to follow up on their test within 12 24 months of taking the course.
