Hello and welcome to the Coaching page. I am the Coaching Education Officer for the Club, this is a new position on our committee which has been created due to the number of members in our club.

I have been a Coach with the Club for 17 years. I started as a 'Helper' assisting June with the Juniors, and I now hold the AENA Level 2 Coaching Qualification. The majority of coaches have qualified in the same way.

As the Club grew we decided that we needed to put a Coaching Education plan into action. Our aim is to help the development of coaches by providing practical experience, lesson planning and mentoring.  At the start of each season all the coaches meet to draw up the coaching plan for the Juniors. The junior coaches then work on a rota system. This not only gives the coaches experience but it also benefits the players by providing them with different coaching styles.
